1st Cedar Hill Scouters, Venturers, Rovers and Volunteers!

Please save the August 24-26 weekend for an opportunity to get together with your fellow 1st Cedar Hill Group members at Camp Barnard to share your summers and to think about the coming Scouts program year. Again this year we have the support of the Vancouver Island Geographic Team of Scouts Canada to help coordinate some workshops and information session with guest speakers, and service Scouting. We also anticipate a subsidy from Cascadia Council for the cost of the camp.

More details will follow, but we are looking at activities and information session ideas from you. Ideas that have been put forward so far include:

  • Youth safety
  • Improving communications
  • Using ScoutsTracker
  • Budgets – building on what we learned this year
  • Section planning, calendar building
  • Jamboree preparation
  • Coaching and mentoring
  • Personal progression and Scouter Development

Plus campfires, time for outdoor activities, and a chance to catch up with each other and welcome new faces. You know – a camp!

Interested? Of course you are! So come for a day, or come for the weekend (we have cabins and a kitchen reserved) and get a jump on the Scouting year.
